Fountain Valley, CA – March 2012: Radflo Suspension Technology is proud to announce the release of our 100 Series Land Cruiser shocks for both lifted applications and for use with aftermarket upper control arms. Whether your 100 series has lift springs from 3” all the way up to 7” we now offer a performance shock for it. We also have extended travel shocks to be used with aftermarket upper control arms. All of these shocks are available in 2.0” or 2.5” diameters and a remote reservoir option. We don’t believe that you should be limited to standard off-the-shelf shock absorbers just because you drive a Land Cruiser. Therefore, we developed our line of OE replacement shocks to satisfy your specific performance needs.

Our OE replacement shock absorbers feature a robust body manufactured from SSID steel tubing. Vehicle specific dimensions and mounting configuration guarantee a painless bolt-on installation using the OE shock mounts. Reveal the true performance capabilities of your 100 Series by replacing the existing shocks with our OE Replacement dampers. Unlike the “cookie cutter” shocks supplied with most aftermarket suspension kits, ours are tuned to your specific vehicle and driving preferences using the same technology used to win races at the professional level. Radflo’s exclusive Freeflo™ racing piston utilizes adaptive damping technology to automatically match shock performance to surface conditions. Multi-stage compression and rebound damping characteristics are customized to suit your vehicle setup and driving preferences. Because all shocks wear out eventually, we designed every single component to be easily serviced or replaced. Even the individual valve shims can be changed to fine-tune damping performance. Our highly experienced technicians can perform these services, or you can service the shocks yourself for immediate results.

Team of Overland Adventurers Prepare to Travel the Globe

Prescott, Ariz. (2012-02-17) - Overland Journal announces the Expeditions 7 Round-the-World Expedition.

Overland International CEO Scott Brady announced today that he will lead a team of adventurers to all seven continents in two Toyota Land Cruisers.

“We conceived the concept of traveling to all seven continents a few years back, but needed to find the best partners to achieve this significant undertaking,” said Brady. The lead driving team will be from Miller Motorsports Park, with Proffitt’s Cruisers providing the primary vehicle preparation services. Miller Motorsports Park is home to the new Land Cruiser Heritage Museum, which will house the most complete collection of ‘Cruisers in North America.

The adventure will visit some extremely remote destinations, and follow many of the most historically-famous overland travel routes on the seven continents, including Prudhoe Bay, Trans-Iceland, NordKapp, the Road of Bones, the Canning Stock Route, Trans-Africa, and Ruta 40 to Ushuaia. The trip will end with Antarctica. “We have an exceptional team of drivers on this adventure; all with performance driving experience and all being Land Cruiser enthusiasts,” declared Brady.

The expedition will cover approximately 30,000 miles and be broken up in to seven non-consecutive trips. The project is expected to begin in March 2012 with delivery of the vehicles to Proffitt’s Cruisers at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah for preparation.

“For the expedition, the team has selected two VDJ78 V8 turbo-diesel Toyota Land Cruisers because of their legendary toughness and reliability. These trucks are a ‘best of breed’ for overland expeditions,” said Greg Miller, the team’s lead driver.

The expedition will be featured in eight editorial segments for Overland Journal and the Land Cruiser preparation and expedition logistics will be available at www.expeditionportal.com. An additional website (www.expeditions7.com) is dedicated specifically to the expedition and will serve as a history of the project.
